Test voltage calibration
The test voltage calibration is generally performed at 10 % 20 % of the maximum test voltage.

1. Click the Test Voltage subtab.
2. Select the Dominant Voltage for the voltage calibration.
3. Use the Calibrate to input box to match the voltage display with the voltage that is being applied.
This value can be read, for example, from another measurement instrument.
NOTICE
Equipment damage caused by accidentally connected CAL 542 possible
After the calibration process is finished and BEFORE the voltage is applied, ensure that CAL 542
and its connection cables are completely disconnected from the DUT.
Do not apply voltage at the calibrator’s BNC connector.
Remove the calibrator before energizing the test setup.
WARNING
Death or severe injury caused by high voltage or current possible
Working in the area of high-voltage systems is very dangerous.
Make sure to observe dangerous areas.
Always obey the internal safety instructions for working in areas with high voltage to
avoid injury.
