5-2-7 Time Stamp Refreshing
With this I/O refreshing method, the NX Units record the DC times when inputs change or perform out-
puts at specified DC times. These times are not synchronized to the NX bus refresh cycles. Among
Slave Terminals, only EtherCAT Slave Terminals support this refreshing method.
Data exchange between the NX Units and CPU Unit or EtherCAT Coupler Unit are performed cyclically
on the NX bus refresh cycles.
There are the following two I/O refreshing methods.
• Input refreshing with input changed time
• Output refreshing with specified time stamp
Each of these I/O refreshing methods is described below.
