The
I/O
link
unit
makes
possible
state-of-the-art
optical-fiber
communica-
tion
within
a
SYSBUS
system
employing
a
higher-level
PC
(such
as
the
C120
or
C500),one
or
more
C20s,
and
other
C-Series
PCs.
Remote
data
communication
between
the
C20s
and
other
devices
is
controlled
by
a
remote
I/O
master
unit.
The
controlied
equipment
can
be
located
as
far
as
800
meters
from
the
I/O
master
unit.
The
network
of
control
equipment
is
tied
together
through
the
SYSBUS
system,
in
which
a
pair
of
optical-fiber
cables
transmits
high-speed
data
over
long
distances
with
high
immunity
to
electrical
noise.
