OPTIKON 2000
Code 121008S 5-2 Rev. D
3 ) SILICONE STOP VALVE
This valve allows delivering air from the Proportional valve to the Silicone
injection connector on the front panel.
4 ) PROPORTIONAL VALVE
This electronic valve regulates the pressure of the input compressed air to
be delivered to the silicone injection system and to the aspiration Venturi
pump under the control of the microprocessor.
5 ) PRESSURE SENSOR
This sensor monitors the pressure of the input compressed air and closes if
this pressure is too low (under 4.5bar), when the “Low input pressure” alarm
is delivered.
6 ) SECONDARY PRESSURE REGULATOR
It regulates the air pressure for vitrectomy cutter and microscissors. It is set
at 230KPa (2.3bar).
7 ) MAIN PRESSURE CONNECTOR
This connector allows monitoring the air pressure at the output of the main
pressure regulator. To remove the red plug (occluder), push down the black
ring around the base of the plug while pulling this out.
8) WATER STOP FILTER
Prevents salt solution from the aspiration system to reach the primary
Venturi pump.
9 ) PRIMARY PRESSURE REGULATOR
This device (located near the transformer) regulates and stabilizes the
pressure of the input compressed air at 5.2 bar.
10) AIR TAMPONADE MICRO PUMP
This small compressor generates low pressure compressed air for the sterile
air tamponade system.
11) LOW PRESSURE AIR TANK
This tank dumps pressure fluctuations in the low pressure air tamponade
system.
12) VENTURI PUMP
This pump, which receives pressurized air from the proportional valve,
generates vacuum to be used for aspiration in the Dual Pump Cassette.
