U/S adjustable power supply check
Connect an Ultrasonic handpiece and tune it by depressing the footswitch
beyond position #3, while keeping the tip in water.
1. Set MODE to SURGEON, connect an oscilloscope between TP8 and TP9
(GNDs) and preset U/S power to 100%.
2. Slowly depress the footswitch from position three to full travel, notice
that the voltage shown by the oscilloscope increases regularly from 0V
up.
Calibrations
The only calibration required by the 347150 is the adjustment of the frequency
range for tuning.
For this calibration, connect a frequency meter to the TP4 test point (Fout
signal) (GNDs) and operate as follows:
•
for calibration of minimum frequency, do not connect the handpiece to
the console (microprocessor sets the VCO to minimum), adjust R30
trimmer (identified by “fmin” in the schematic diagram) in order to have
Fout=37,500 KHz;
•
for calibration of maximum frequency, connect the handpiece to the
console, do not prime handpiece (microprocessor sets VCO to maximum
frequency), adjust R28 trimmer (identified by “fmax”) in order to have
Fout= 44 KHz.
6.4 THE SYSTEM CALIBRATION SOFTWARE
The System Calibration Software is built-in in the PULSAR2. It allows testing
and calibration of the unit.
Before starting the calibration software, connect the unit to a compressed air
source delivering 6 ±0.2bars (87±2.9PSI). Verify that no air leakage is heard
from the unit.
To enter the System Calibration Software you must:
• enter Program mode
• Select Save as
