6.5 TOUCH SCREEN CALIBRATION
The User can input commands to the ASSISTANT GUI through its resistive
touch screen. If the touch screen, with the monitor frame, is replaced or if the
PC board is replaced, it may be necessary to recalibrate the touch screen.
The touch screen needs calibration if there is not correspondence between
the area touched on the screen and the activation of the button just below that
area.
To Start the calibration routine, you should:
• enter Program mode
• Select Save as
• Type in Quit Phaco <enter>
The ASSISTANT will exit the main program returning to the Windows
operating system.
• Double tap the “Start” icon
• Double tap “Programs”
• Double tap “TSHARC calibration ”
• Follow the indications to recalibrate the touch screen.
At the end of the calibration procedure, to return to the standard
working program, click on “Suspend”, wait few seconds and then
touch the screen.
6.6 SETTING DATE AND TIME
Date and time are reported in the Errors log file together with the error
messages. It may be necessary to set the correct date and time in the system:
1- Double tap the time indication in the lower right corner of the screen. A
calendar page and a digital clock will appear.
2- Set the proper day date on the calendar and the time on the clock.
3- Tap “Apply”
Note: Do not modify the time zone or daylight saving indicators, as these are
not actually stored in the permanent memory of the system.
