Hardware
The 4 axes slave modules (A-432 / P-432), (also called “bridges”).
Connected to the real-time unit via EtherCAT bus, they are an integrated
solution that offers a wide set of local I/O and the electronics for controlling
axes driven with an analog (A-432) or Pulse & Direction (P-432) signals.
Linked with one of these modules, OPEN-XS is a motion control system that includes
numerous digital and analog I/O points while maintaining a high performance/price ratio.
The modules include:
• 4 axes (16 bits analog or P&D outputs, ABZ encoder inputs)
• 32 Digital Inputs
• 32 Digital Outputs
• 4 Analog Inputs
• 2 16 bits analog Outputs (A-432 only)
• 1 Interface for analog open loop spindle
• 1 input for handwheel
The 6 axes slave modules (A-664/P-664).
They are optimized for the control of 5 axes machine tools with gantry axis, follow
the same philosophy but providing more resources:
• 6 axes (16 bits analog or P&D outputs, ABZ encoder inputs)
• 64 Digital Inputs
• 64 Digital Outputs
• 4 Analog Inputs
• 1 Interface for analog open loop spindle
• 1 input for handwheel
