Copying titles or playlists
[RAM] [+RW] [-RW‹VR›]
You can copy multiple titles and playlists that are recorded on a disc
onto a video cassette.
1 While both DVD and VHS are stopped
Press [FUNCTION MENU].
2 Select “Copy” with [3, 4] and press
[OK].
3 Set “Copy Direction”.
≥Set “Source” to “DVD”.
≥If you are not going to change the copy direction, press [4],
then skip to step 4.
∫To change the setting
1 Make sure “Copy Direction” is selected and press [1].
2 Make sure “Source” is selected and press [OK].
3 Press [3, 4] to select “DVD” and press [OK].
≥When you set “Source” to “DVD”, “VHS” is automatically
selected in “Destination”.
4 Press [2].
5 Press [4].
4 Set the recording mode.
≥If you are not going to change the recording mode, press
[4], then skip to step 5.
∫To change the setting
1 Make sure “Copy Mode” is selected and press [1].
≥“Format” is automatically set to “VIDEO”.
2 Make sure “Recording Mode” is selected and press [OK].
3 Select recording mode with [3, 4] and press [OK].
4 Press [2].
5 Press [4].
5 Register titles and playlists for
copying.
≥If you are going to copy a registered list without making any
changes to it, press [4], then skip to step 6.
∫To set for the registration
1 Make sure “Create List” is selected and press [1].
2 Make sure “New item” is selected and press [OK].
3 [RAM] [-RW‹VR›] Press the “Red” button to select “VIDEO” or
press “Green” button to select “Playlists”.
≥You can also select the view by selecting “Other View”
from the OPTION MENU.
1 Press [OPTION].
2 Make sure “Other View” is selected and press [OK].
3 The confirmation screen appears.
Press [OK].
4 Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the title or playlist and press
[;].
≥A check mark appears. Press [;] again to cancel.Repeat
this step to until you select all necessary items.
≥When you switch between the “VIDEO” and “Playlists”
tab, the check mark is cancelled.
≥The items will be copied in the order of the copying list If
you want to specify the order, repeat selecting one item
at a time.
≥To show other pages (➡ 51)
5 Press [OK].
≥To edit the copying list(➡ 51)
6 Press [2].
≥Make sure that the value on “Size” is smaller than the
value in “Destination Remaining”.
7 Press [4].
GUI (Graphical User Interface) Copying
(DVD l VHS)
Preparation
≥Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input to
suit the connection to this unit.
≥When copying an NTSC disc to a video cassette, change the
“TV System” to “NTSC” in the Setup menu (➡ 62).
DVD (Recording source)
≥Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the DVD drive.
≥Insert the disc containing the programme to be copied. (➡ 14)
≥[RAM] [-RW‹VR›] Press [1] (PLAY) to play the disc and then
press [AUDIO] to select the audio type you wish to record.
VHS (Recording target)
≥Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the VHS drive.
≥Insert a video cassette with a secure accidental erasure
prevention tab. (➡ 14) Stop the tape at the point where you
want to start copying to.
≥Confirm that the remaining tape time is sufficient for recording.
