Image Stabilizer Function
If the C;.trncordcr is shaken while recording, the
camera shako in the imago can be corrected.
• If the Carncordcr shaF(ca too much, the images
may not be stabilized.
1 Set [TAPE RECORDING MENU[ >>
[CAMERA] >> [EIS] >> [ON].
wTho IEIS] Indication appears.
2 Press the Recording Start/Stop Button (_
or [PHOTO SHOT] Button (_D to start
recording.

Fade In/Out Functions
Fade In
F;.tdo In brings out im;.tgos and sounds gradu;.tlly
from a black scrcon at the boginning of a scono.
1 Keep pressing the [FADE] Button (_
during the Recording Pause Mode.
• The image f;.tdos out gr;.tdually.
2 When the image is completely gone, press
the Recording Start/Stop Button (_ to
start recording.
3 Release the [FADE] Button (_ about
3 seconds after starting recording.
• The image reappears gradually.
Fade Out
Fade Out causes images and sounds to
disappear gradually, leaving a black screen at the
end of a scene.
1 Keep pressing the [FADE] Button (_ while
recording.
• The imago fades out gradually.
2 When the image is completely gone, press
the Recording Start/Stop Button (_ to stop
recording.
3 Release the [FADE] Button (_.
• The still picture cannot fade in or fade ouI.
Backlight Compensation Function
This prevents the subject from being recorded too
darkly when backliI. {Backlight is the light that
shines from behind the subject being recorded.)
1 Press the [BACK LIGHT] Button (_.
