Check the hard disk drive information [HDD information]
The capacities, operation time and statuses of the hard disk drives are displayed.
Refer to the setup menu - the "Advanced setup" menu - the
"Maintenance" page - the [HDD information] tab for further
information about the items displayed on the [HDD informa-
tion] tab. (☞ Page 70)
Format the hard disk drives [Format HDD]
Hard disk drives are formatted. Formatting is required when a hard disk drive is replaced or added.
Important:
 • Whenaharddiskdriveisformatted,alltherecordedimageswillbeerased.
Step 1
Click the [Execute] button on the [Format HDD] tab.
→ The window to format hard disk drives will be displayed.
Step 2
Check the hard disk drives to format on the "Format" field,
and click the [Start] button.
When "OK" is displayed on the "Results" dialog box, click
the [Back] button.
When "Error" is displayed on the dialog box, format the hard
disk drives again.
About the removal process and the link process of hard disk drives
When replacing hard disk drives, it is necessary to perform the removal process. When installing hard disk drives for playback
use only, it is necessary to perform the link process.
Be sure to consult the dealer for the removal, installation, and the related process of hard disk drives.
