Chapter 6: Programming User
Settings
Using the K656 keypad, you can add new users to the
system and modify their level of access to the system.
The following points are important to keep in mind when
programming a new user:
• For a more detailed explanation user options and
access control options, refer to User Options on
page 26 and Access Control User Options on page 28.
Options that are bold are enabled by default.
• By default, all users can regular arm the system.
• You can only assign areas to which you –as a master
user– are assigned. For example, if you are assigned to
areas 1 and 2, you will only be permitted to assign
areas 1 and 2 to new users.
• If a user is not assigned to an area, and if PGMs are
programmed by your installer, the user can only
control the PGMs. For a more detailed explanation of
PGMs, refer to Programmable Outputs (PGMs) on
page 9.
• In order to assign a remote control, the system must
include an RTX3 Wireless Expansion Module.
