Locking casters
Casters can be locked with side pedals on the left and right of the foot end.
WARNING
Lock casters at all times except when moving the bed. When the patient
gets into or out of the bed, the bed may move unexpectedly, resulting in
injury.
n When locking the casters, be careful to prevent your foot from getting
caught in a gap between the side pedal and floor. You may accidentally
injure yourself.
n Do not forcibly move the bed when the casters are locked. The bed may
break or the casters may damage the floor.

Push down the orange side of the
pedal to lock the swivel and
rotation of all 4 casters.
g Unlocking 4 casters
Return the pedal to the horizontal
position to unlock the swivel and
rotation of all 4 casters.
g Locking steering (straight
forward movement)
Step on the green pedal to lock
swiveling of caster (A) in the
straight forward movement
direction. This helps the bed to be
transferred straight forward easier.
Note!
Inspect the casters regularly. Casters wear out and deteriorate depending on the operating
frequency and environment (deterioration may be accelerated in a high temperature and hu-
midity environment). If the performance of the stopper deteriorates or wheels are discolored
or cracked, contact Paramount Bed (see p. 118) or your distributor for after-sales services,
such as repair.
