2 FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONS
1. Bed functions
WARNING
n When performing a positioning operation, make sure that the patient’s
head, arms, legs, or other body parts have not entered the gap between
the bed and side-rail, or between the head section and frame. They may
get caught, resulting in injury.
n When adjusting the height or inclination angle with the side-rail lowered,
do not put your legs under the side-rail. They may get caught, resulting
in injury.
n Do not allow the patient to get in or out of the bed while the bed is
inclined or the knee section is raised. The patient may fall down or fall
over, resulting in injury.
n Performing the Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg operation of the
bed or head up using Cardiac Chair motion shall be allowed only under
observation of a physician or a nurse. You may accidentally injure
yourself.
n Be careful of lines during bed operation. Lines may be pulled, resulting
in injury or damage to the lines or equipment.
Head up / Knee up / Head and knee coordination / Height adjustment
The angle of the head and knee sections and the bed height and Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg
angle (see p. 51) can be electrically adjusted with no increments. (For the operation procedure, see
p. 60 to 67)
<Head up>
n You can adjust the angle of the head section.
You can adjust the head section from an angle of
0˚to70˚.
Note!
The angle of the head section relative to
the oor is displayed on the BED Navi
(accessory) / handheld controller (acces-
sory) / head of bed angle indicator.
<Knee up>
n You can adjust the angle of the knee section.
You can adjust the knee section from an angle of
0˚to25˚.
