The IVIS
®
Lumina XRMS Series III is an imaging system that consists of a charged coupled device
(CCD) camera which can image animal subjects using three modalities: bioluminescence,
fluorescence, and X-ray. IVIS Lumina XRMS Series III includes:
A camera.
An imaging chamber with controlling electronics.
An X-ray source and detector, including controls and safety systems.
A Fluorescence Module, including excitation and emission filters.
The system is controlled by a pre-configured computer that runs Living Image
®
software. There are
no user-serviceable parts in the IVIS Lumina XRMS Series III. See Chapter 8 on page 56 for more
details on the fluorescence equipment.
