NOTICE
The system or plant integrator is tasked with providing sufficient safety
when wiring and activating an FS input.
The following reset options are available for an external protective stop device:
} Automatic or manual reset
The system or plant integrator must determine whether the reset is to occur automatically
or whether a manual reset is required.
} Reset via the teach pendant or via an external reset device
The system or plant integrator must determine whether the reset is to occur via the teach
pendant (“2nd” button) or via an external reset device (see Planning an external reset
device for a protective stop device [ 78]).
Once the reset has occurred, the restart can be triggered (see Planning a restart after a
protective stop [ 79]).
