5.8 Planning an external reset device for an external emergency
stop device
The system or plant integrator is obligated to take the situations for emergency stop into ac-
count in his risk analysis. If the risk analysis shows that an external emergency stop device
is needed, then in the control cabinet the corresponding external reset device must be con-
nected to the dedicated FS input "Reset emergency stop external" (see Connections for ex-
ternal devices [ 86]):
} Module A1.1, terminal 21 – Reset emergency stop external OK
NOTICE
The system or plant integrator is tasked with providing sufficient safety
when wiring and activating an FS input.
