Function of DISPLAY/RDS button
Each
time
you
press
this
button,
the
mode
changes
as
follows:
FM:
RT Mode... Displays PS — RT in sequence. “RT”
lights.
PS MOE......sccssssceeee Displays PS. “PS” lights.
PTY mode .........ss000 Displays PTY. “PTY” lights.
PTY search mode .... “SEARCH” lights.
The C=) or C=) button can be used to
select the program type. Press the
DISPLAY/RDS CLOCK ADJ button again,
and it searches for programs in your
specified type.
Frequency display mode .......... Displays tuned-in frequency.
Searching for a desired program by program type
(Program Type Search)
You
can
search
for
an
FM
broadcasts
of
a
desired
program
type
(PTY).
1. Select FM with the tuner (FM/AM) function button.
2.
Press
the
DISPLAY/RDS
CLOCK
ADJ
button
to
select
the
PTY search mode.
“SEARCH” lights in the display.
3.
Select
the
desired
program
type
using
the
C=]
or
)
button.
4.
When
your
desired
program
type
is
displayed,
press
the
DISPLAY/RDS CLOCK ADJ button.
The search function begins from the next station after the
currently
selected
one,
and
broadcast
stations
conforming
to
the input program type are automatically received. If more
than one station of the same program type is found, they are
received one after the other for five seconds each, starting
with any presets. When the station you want is received,
press
the
DISPLAY/RDS
CLOCK
ADJ
button.
Search
stops,
and reception of that station continues.
NOTES:
When
a
broadcast
of
the
selected
program
type
cannot
be
found,
search
continues
until
the
DISPLAY/RDS
CLOCK
ADJ
button
is
pressed.
e Alarm cannot be selected during PTY search.
