3 PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Installation Manual Planmeca ProOne 7
3.7 Network architecture requirements
The minimum requirement for the Ethernet cable is Category 6 (Cat 6). All cables
delivered with the X-ray unit are Cat 6 cables.
The Romexis PC hardware is not included in the X-ray unit delivery.
Each image acquisition workstation (Romexis PC) in the network has to have a
unique IP address.
If the X-ray unit and Romexis PC(s) have to be connected to a common network, the
network must be protected by a firewall.
If a Romexis PC has to be connected to a common network, a second network card
must be used.
Connecting the X-ray system to a network that contains other devices, or making any
changes to this network, could result in previously unidentified risks to patients,
operators or third parties. These risks must be identified, analysed, evaluated and
controlled by the responsible organisation.
