Auto shooting with using different flash
modes for each group (Canon only)
Shooting with a different flash mode for
each group (Canon only)
Important: This feature is only available when you use radio
transmission mode.
When using an EOS digital camera released since 2012, such as
the EOS-1DX (except for EOS 1200D), you can shoot with a
different flash mode set for each firing group, with up to five
groups (A/B/C/D/E).
You can set the flash modes to E-TTL II autoflash and manual (M)
flash. When the flash mode is set to E-TTL II, exposure is
controlled to result in standard exposure for the main subject as a
single group.
Note: This function is for advanced users who are
knowledgeable and experienced in lighting.
1 On the master flash,
press the MODE
button, then turn the
select dial to set the
flash mode to Gr.
