2.5.1 TANKS DIMENSIONS FLAT
The following settings pertain to a flat-ended horizontal cylinder:
Capacity: Use actual tank capacity so that an accurate volume calculation can be performed. (i.e. a
tank may be referred to as a 10,000 gallon tank for conversation but the actual capacity may actually
be 9844.)
Unusable Volume: Affects the calculations performed for the Product Order Report. This volume is
excluded from the total volume when calculating the number of days of usable fuel remaining in the
tank.
Ungageable Level: Represents the amount of liquid that cannot be measured by the probe. This may
be due to the construction of the tank or the fact that the flex probe has a weight on the end of the
shaft.
Manifold Factor: The number of Manifolds on a tank set with only one probe. Note that EPA
requirements for manifolded tanks are to isolate the tank from the set before performing a leak test.
Advanced settings here include the ability to auto select a pump based on the tank with the highest
volume. Consult factory for details.
Length: Only used if the tank is tilted. See Tank Rise.
Rise: Amount of tank tilt present on a horizontal tank. Measured in inches and is never negative. See
Probe Location Offset.
Radius: 1/2 of the inside diameter. Refer to tank drawing or chart for details.
