2.5.4 TANKS – DIMENSIONS – CUSTOM 8
The following settings pertain to tanks with an unusual or asymmetrical geometry:
Capacity: Use actual tank capacity so that an accurate volume calculation can be performed. (i.e. a
tank may be referred to as a 10,000 gallon tank for conversation but the actual capacity may actually
be 9844.)
Unusable Volume: Affects the calculations performed for the Product Order Report. This volume is
excluded from the total volume when calculating the number of days of usable fuel remaining in the
tank.
Ungageable Level: Represents the amount of liquid that cannot be measured by the probe. This may
be due to the construction of the tank or the fact that the flex probe has a weight on the end of the
shaft.
Manifold Factor: The number of Manifolds on a tank set with only one probe. Note that EPA
requirements for manifolded tanks are to isolate the tank from the set before performing a leak test.
Advanced settings here include the ability to auto select a pump based on the tank with the highest
volume. Consult factory for details.
Height: The inside height of the tank.
Custom Size Datapoints: 8 levels and volumes are required. Refer to the manufacturers tank chart
for accurate volume calculations. Contact Pneumercator for additional support in selecting specific
data points best suited for the specific tank shape.
