Fuel / W a ter Sepa rator -- DIt Models
The DIt models utilize a water separating filter that is
located inside the tank. This unique filter separates water
from fuel, allowing only fuel to enter the fuel pump and fuel
lines. Maintenance is required only if fuel tank fills up with
water (submerged) or if you are experiencing running
problems and suspect water in fuel tank.
W ARNING
Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under
certain conditions. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks
in the work area. Be sure the work area is well ventilated.
See gasoline handling warnings found on page 4.4. Failure
to heed these warnings may result in serious injury or
death.
NOTE: The filters for DIt fuel pumps one not available as
service parts. If the filter is damaged or plugged, the fuel
pump must be replaced as an assembly.
