FFIt Diagnostics - Timing Verification Pro-
cedure
To enter the Timing Verification Program, type²4² on the
FFI Diagnostics menu. Press <ESC> to exit the Timing
Verification Procedure.
The timing verification screen, displayed to the right, will
allow the user to verify proper engine timing. In order to
perform the test correctly, engine RPM must be between
700 and 1500 RPM, and in forward mode.
T iming variance is ± 2°, due to the fact that optical port on
the stator housing is obstructed from view . The use of a
mirror is recommended when physically checking the op-
erating timing.
NOTE: Timing is locked to 20° BTDC while running the timing verification test. If the engine dies, runs rough,
or the same as before, check the stator and/or flywheel for missing teeth or a sheared flywheel key.
FFIt Diagnostics - EMM INFORMATION SCREEN
By pressing 4 on the FFIt main menu page, the EMM
Information screen will begin. The EMM information
screen will give you the following information:
S Engine Model Number
S Engine Serial Number
S EMM Serial Number
S Software Version Number
S Map Version Number
S Engine Hours
To return to the FFI Main Menu, press any key on the
laptop.
FFIt Diagnostics - RPM PROFILE
To enter the RPM Profile screen, press ²5².TheRPM
profile screen will display the total hours spent in each
RPM range by percentages. Press ²ESC² to return to
the FFI Main Menu.
FFIt Diagnostics - EXIT PROGRAM
Press ²6² to return to the Program Select Menu.
