Electrical Connections
Apply Nyogelt grease to battery posts and exposed cable connections.
Inspect electrical box for moisture, check wire sealing grommets, and apply Nyogelt grease to terminal board
connections.
Terminal Board
NOTE: Verify that terminal board
clips ho ld fuses securely.
Circu it Breaker -- Carbureted Models
The electrical system is protected with a 15A circuit breaker. In order to
reset the circuit breaker, locate and push the reset button (A) on top of
the electrical box.
Fuses -- Carbureted Models
The MFI and Bilge Pump are protected by fuses. The MFI is protected
by a 1/4 amp fuse (B) and the bilge pump is protected by a 3 amp fuse
(C). Inspect the fuses every season to ensure fuses are not blown.
There are spare fuses in the electrical box.
NOTE: Some models are supplied with one set of extra fuses from the
factory.
Circuit Breakers -- DIt Models
DIt models are protected with two circuit breakers. A 15A breaker pro-
tects the 12V power supply circuits, while another 15A breaker protects
the fuel pump circuit. Both circuit breakers are contained within a water--
tight pod located inside the engine compartment.
Fuses -- DIt Models
The MFI and bilge pump are protected by fuses. The MFI is protected by a 2A fuse, and the bilge pump is pro-
tected by a 3A fuse. Each fuse is located in its own fuse block. The fuse blocks are tie--wrapped to the wiring
harness and are marked “FUSE” on the outside cover for easy identification. DIt fuses are automotive--type
fuses.
