5.3 Indicating Laser Activity
Each scanning head is equipped with a
LASER
L
ED
which indicates laser
activity. The
LASER
L
ED
is on the back of the scanning head.
The
LASER
L
ED
is lit when the laser is switched on (key switch on the front
of the front-end in position I).
The
LASER
L
ED
is lit regardless of whether the beam shutter is open or
closed.
The
LASER
L
ED
is lit, too, if the laser is switched off with the aid of the
software.
5.4 Setting Up the Scanning Head
Fluid head
If the system is equipped with a light duty tripod with fluid head, you can
manually set up the scanning head using the three hand-grips as described in
the assembly instruction provided by the tripod manufacturer.
Stand-off
distance
While aligning the scanning head, also pay attention to the information on
optimal stand-off distances for the scanning head provided in S
ECTION
4.3.
