7. Disassembly / assembly
7.1. Ordering spare parts
When ordering spare parts the following information must be supplied:
⚫ the serial number: this can be found on the pumps' type plate and on the first page of this
manual
⚫ the type code: this can be found on the pumps' type plate and on the first page of this
manual.
⚫ the item numbers; the numbers and - when known - the parts numbers of the required parts.
Chapter 9 shows a sectional drawing and parts list of the pump, with the item numbers referred
to.
! Rotors and gears are always supplied in pairs.
7.2. Safety measures
Never allow the pump to run without the front cover or without being connected to the
piping!
Ensure the drive is shut down when performing maintenance work. Prevent it from being
switched on again unintentionally!
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses in case the pump conveys liquids which are a
health hazard!
Ensure the pump is depressurized when it has to be disassembled in order to carry out
maintenance!
Allow the pump to cool down first when a heating jacket is fitted or when it conveys hot
liquids!
Disassembly of a safety valve may ONLY be done WITH SPRING PRESSURE
RELEASED, on a shutdown pump, which is cooled down and vented!
