▪ Lower the lifting device until you feel a slight jolt in the control lever (the arrow on the
lifting device is aligned with the arrow on the sticker).
▪ Adjust the height of the splitting knife such that, always starting from the underside, the
log can be split in layers.
▪ Use the lumber pick to pull the right-hand billet split above the splitting knife into the
lifting device.
▪ Pull the left-hand billet split above the splitting knife back into the splitting trough and
split it again.
▪ Pull both control levers towards you at the same time.
– The pressure plate advances and splits the log.
– As soon as you release the control lever, the pressure plate halts.
▪ The split billets fall onto the support table and can be removed from there.
▪ Push both control levers away from you in order to retract the pressure plate.
Notes on splitting
Logs must always be split lengthways.
Always insert lengths of timber so that the wider end is pressed against the splitting blade
first.
Remove jammed wood from the splitting blade with a striking tool.
