Issues
Issues related to the belt drive bikes:
ISSUE CAUSE SOLUTION
Excessive belt
noise.
l Belt tension out-
of-spec.
l Worn belt.
Verify and adjust belt tension, see "Belt Drive
Tension Adjustment" on page10.
If tension is within spec, inspect belt condition
and replace if worn, see "Belt and Flywheel
Replacement" on page22.
Pedal slips
when pedaling
with power.
l Loose belt, ten-
sion out-of-spec.
l Worn belt.
Verify and adjust belt tension, see "Belt Drive
Tension Adjustment" on page10.
If tension is within spec, inspect belt condition
and replace if worn, see "Belt and Flywheel
Replacement" on page22.
Belt comes off
pulley
l Loose belt.
l Misaligned belt
pulley alignment.
Verify and adjust belt tension, see "Belt Drive
Tension Adjustment" on page10.
Check the front to rear belt pulley alignment.
Cannot be adjusted, check the left/right flywheel
axle bracket condition or possible a bent frame.
