Symptom ProbableCause Soluon
No/low inlet water ow Solenoid valve does not properly open Replace solenoid valve. Check with dealer.
1/2” Inlet ball valve closed Open the inlet ball valve.
Inlet strainer plugged Clean inlet strainer.
Booster pump not running See booster pump secon.
Emergency Shut O Valve in Closed posion. If ESV is stuck, lower gently to reset.
Feeder cable not connected to control box. Check feeder cable connecon to control box is
connected properly. Refer to Secon 5.9 for connecng
instrucons.
Insucient chlorine in pool Feeder empty Rell hopper with Pulsar® Plus Briquees.
No/low inlet water ow See No/low inlet water ow secon above.
Clogged discharge line Clean or replace discharge tubing and ngs. Refer to
cleaning instrucons, page 20.
Clogged check valve Remove and clean the check valve.
Clogged venturi Remove venturi and clean. Refer to cleaning instrucons,
page 20.
ORP/chemical controller signal not present Check ORP cable connecon to chlorine signal output on
ORP. Refer to ORP controller manual.
Feeder cable not connected to control box. Check feeder cable connecon to control box is
connected properly. Refer to Secon 5.9 for connecng
instrucons.
Excess chlorine in pool ORP/chemical controller problem Refer to the ORP Controller Manual.
Clogged basket Clean grid basket. Refer to cleaning instrucons, page
20.
Clogged 45° cut HCE bowl drain pipe Break o excess scale from drain pipe or remove and
refer to cleaning instrucons, page 19
Feeder overow Clogged discharge line Clean or replace discharge tubing and ngs. Refer to
cleaning instrucons, page 20.
Clogged venturi Clean venturi. Refer to cleaning instrucons, page 20.
Insucient outlet sucon Excessive pressure drop on the venturi outlet. Check
with dealer.
ESV Failure Replace ESV. Check with dealer.
Inlet ow rate too high Check inlet ow meter and set to 3 gpm max.
Control box ow light inacve No ow in pool pipe where ow switch is
installed
Iniate ow in pool pipe.
Flow switch cable not connected or bad
connecon to ow switch
Check cable connecon to ow switch. Check connector
pins for damage or corrosion.
Flow switch installed incorrectly in pool pipe Refer to Secon 5.2 for proper ow switch installaon
instrucons.
Flow switch failure Replace ow switch.
