G (Byte 1, Bits 4 & 3) - Indicate which defect list is actually returned by the
ProDri~e.
The defect list fonnat specifies the actual fonnat
of
the defect list returned by the
ProDri~e.
The fonnats
of
the defect descriptors are shown
in
Tables 5-40 and 5-41. The defect list
length specifies the total length in bytes
of
the defect descriptors that follow. The defect list length
is
equal to eight times the number
of
defect descriptors.
If
the allocation length
of
the CDB is too small
to transfer all
of
the defect descriptors, the defect list length will not be adjusted to reflect the
truncation.
