•Vesselstructure—WheretheWi-Fisignalpassesthroughavesselbulkheadoracoachroof,the
Wi-Fiperformancewillbeimpacted.Dependingonthematerialandthicknessofthestructurethe
impactmaybesevere;forexample,athicksteelbulkheadmaycompletelyblocktheWi-Fisignal.
•Radarmounting—Thetypeofinstallationcanimpactperformance;forexample,mountingona
solidsteelplatformwillhaveagreaterimpactonperformancethanmountingonabar-stylemount.
•Electricalequipmentandotherobjects—Anyobjectinthedirectline-of-sightbetweentheRadar
andMFDcanimpactWi-Fiperformance.Electrical,electronicandelectromagneticdeviceswill
haveagreaterimpactthanfurniture.
•MFDinstallation—MFDinstallationcanalsoimpactWi-Fiperformance;forexample,iftheMFDis
surfacemountedinasteelconstructiondash,theWi-Fiperformancewillbeimpacted.
