However, if continued scanning is desired and the user has not cleared the list, the START button can be
pressed, and the scan will be continued. New devices will be added to the list, as they are discovered,
without the existing list being automatically reordered.
Evaluating the WiFi Scan Results
After stopping the scan, there are several options for evaluating the results:
Sorting the WiFi Display List
Lists can be ordered by columns: MAC, SSID/Name, Manufacturer, dBm, Ch, and ID. Tapping once will
select that column and order it. A second tap on the same column heading will reverse that order. For
example: tapping on the dBm column heading will order it from weakest signal to strongest signal. A
second tap will order it from strongest to weakest. Tapping on the ID column will send identified devices
to the top or bottom of the list, as indicated by the arrow.
Filtering the WiFi Display List
All the WiFi devices displayed can be filtered into Access Points (APs), Clients, and NC Clients. The three
buttons on the top right, below the clock, control this. These may be displayed in any combination, all,
or none. An icon under the SSID/Name column also indicates if a device is an Access Point, Client, or NC
Client. Deselecting a WiFi category does not stop collection. This information is still being collected
(during a scan) but is not displayed.
Classifying Devices in the WiFi List
An ID column serves to classify user-found devices. As the list is worked through, indicate in this column
if a device is Friendly, Threat, Unknown, or Inactive. These identified devices can then be sent to the
bottom of the list by tapping the column heading. A second tap will order them at the top.
