Accessories function
(switching on the ignition)
Once you have gained access to your
vehicle,youmayusesomeofitsfunc
tions (radio, navigation, wipers, etc.).
To use the other functions, with the
card in the passenger compartment,
press the button 3 without pressing
the pedals.
Conditions for stopping the engine
Neverswitchofftheigni
tion before the vehicle
has stopped completely.
Once the engine has
stopped, the brake servo, power-
assisted steering, etc., and the
passive safety devices such as
the Airbags and pretensioners will
no longer operate.
The vehicle must be at a standstill.
The vehicle must be stationary, with
the lever positioned in P or Nforvehi
cles with an automatic gearbox.
The card must be in detection zone 1
for the van version or in detection zone
2 for the combi version. Press button
3 :theenginestops.Thesteeringcol
umn is locked when the driver's door is
opened or the vehicle is locked.
Ifthecardisnolongerinthepassen
gercompartmentorifthecard'sbat
teryisflat,whenthevehicleisstation
ary and you try to switch the engine
off, the "Keycard absent : press/hold
START"messageappearsonthein
strument panel: press the button 3 for
at least three seconds.
Withtheignitionswitchedoff,anyac
cessories being used (radio etc.) will
continue to function for approximately
10 minutes.
