Deadlocking
Ifthevehicleisequippedwithadead
locking function, this allows you to lock
the opening elements and to prevent
the doors from being unlocked using
the interior handles (for example, by
breaking the window and then trying to
open the door from the inside).
Never use deadlocking if
someone is still inside
the vehicle.
Special note:deadlockingisnotpos
sible if the hazard warning lights or the
side lights are lit.
Depending on the vehicle,
the door mirrors may fold in
automaticallywhentheve
hicle is locked.
Activation/deactivation
To activate deadlocking
Press button 2 twiceinquicksucces
sion.
Locking is confirmed by two slow
flashes and three quick flashes of
thehazardwarninglightsandsidere
peaters.
Depending on the vehicle, the door
mirrors may fold in automatically when
the vehicle is locked 🡺158.
To deactivate deadlocking
Press once on button 1 .
The hazard warning lights flash once
to indicate that the doors have been
unlocked.
