36 - Getting to know your vehicle

handbook (removing the cap from

Remote control unit failure
Always make sure that the correct
battery type is being used, and
thatthebatteryisingoodcondi
tion and inserted correctly. These
batteries should have a service
life of approximately two years.

control in hot, cold or humid
areas.

Locking the doors
Press locking button 1 .
Thehazardwarninglightsandsidere
peaters flash twice to indicate that
the doors have lockedand,depend
ing on the vehicle, the door mirrors fold
in automatically.
Note:ifadoorortheluggagecom
partment door is open or not properly
shut, the vehicle will not be locked.
Thehazardwarninglightsandindica
tor lights do not flash, and no beep
sounds.
Unlocking the doors
The hazard lights and side repeaters
flash once to indicate that the doors
have unlocked and, depending on the
vehicle,thedoormirrorsfoldoutauto
matically.
Combi version
Press button 2 to unlock all of the
opening elements.
Van version
Press button 2 to:
– unlock all of the opening elements,
in access mode;
– unlockingthefrontdoorsand,de
pending on the vehicle, the sliding side
door in Secure mode.
