11. Enter the prefix length using the number keys, and then press the [OK] key.
After a setting has been changed, the machine automatically restarts. To skip the time to wait for the
machine to restart, press the [User Tools] key.
Install the driver after configuring the IPv6 address. For details about installing the driver, see the
Software Installation Guide.
Configuring the Wireless LAN Settings
Check that [LAN Type] is set to [Wireless LAN] in [Network Settings].
Before you configure the wireless LAN settings, print out the network setting list to obtain the
information required for configuring the settings. For details, see Wi-Fi Settings Guide.
Make sure the Ethernet cable is not connected to the machine.
For details about configuring infrastructure mode, see Wi-Fi Settings Guide.
Configuring the Ad hoc mode using the control panel
In Ad hoc network, every device must be manually assigned an IP address for TCP/IP if there is no
DHCP server.
If the communication mode is set to [802.11 Ad-hoc Mode], [WPA2 - PSK -AES] and [WPA/
WPA2 Mixed Mode] in [Security Method] cannot be selected.
1. Press the [User Tools] key.
