Technical description of the burner
4.8 Firing rate
The maximum output should not exceed the maximum limit of
the diagram (Fig. 4).
RX 500 S/PV = 490 kW
The minimum output should not be lower than the minimum limit
of the diagram (Fig. 4).
RX 500 S/PV = 80 kW
Ignition is achieved by means of pilot light.
Pilot system operates correctly with pressure between 8 and
20 mbar (G20). Such value can be varied by means of pressure
regulator (Fig. 162 on page 50).
4.9 Test boiler
The firing rate was set in relation to special test boilers, according
to EN 676 regulations.
The burner-boiler combination does not pose any problems if the
boiler is EC type-approved.
If, however, the burner is to be used with a commercial boiler that
has not been EC approved and/or its combustion chamber di-
mensions are distinctly smaller, consult the manufacturer.
You are advised to use this burner for boilers with a frontal circu-
lation of the flue gases.
The firing rate (Fig. 4) has been obtained at an
ambient temperature of 20°C, at a barometric
pressure of 1013 mbar (about 0 m a.s.l.).
The ignition output must correspond to the mini-
mum burner output.
