Rinnai I-Series Condensing Boiler Combi Manual 93
Boost mode allows the boiler to override the target temperature determined by the outdoor reset
control, and will boost the boiler target temperature to the seng of Parameter 01 aer a
connuous run me or an interval as selected in Parameter 02. The boost funcon is acve unl the
call for heat is sased or the boiler cycles o.
Boost mode works when the outdoor sensor detects higher outdoor temperatures than expected.
For example: In the case of selecng curve 1 on parameter number 01 and 30 minutes on parameter
number 02, outdoor temperature is 51°F, and supply temperature is 140°F. When the boiler
connues operang with ring for 30 minutes, the target supply temperature will rise toward 180°F.
This control connues unl shut down.

The maximum outdoor temperature parameter seng enables the boiler to shut down when the
outdoor temperature is higher than 77°F (25°C). This mode can prevent the boiler from operang
under warm condions unexpectedly.
Maximum outdoor temperature is selected by seng parameter number 03 to “77°F (25°C)” or
“No Maximum” (see secon “12.4 Parameter Sengs” for more informaon).
