Under no circumstances must the duress code be used haphazardly or
without reason. Central stations, along with police departments, treat
duress codes very seriously and take immediate action.
Disabling a Fire Alarm (Switch Auxiliary)
Unsetting the fire alarm interrupts the power supplied to the system's smoke detector(s)
for a predetermined interval, thus resetting and "readying" them for subsequent alarms.
Note:
You may need to perform this procedure several times in order to
prevent the smoke detector(s) from re-detecting any remaining smoke.
To disable a fire alarm
1. Press and enter your grand master code followed by .
2. Using the arrow keys, scroll to the option Activities and press .
3. Scroll to Advanced and press .
4. Scroll to Switch AUX and press .
5. The fire alarm is disabled for a predefined amount of time.
Additional Arm/Disarm Capabilities
Automatic Arm/Disarm
The LightSYS™2 has the ability to define automatic system arming at a predefined time of
a day. An Arm/Disarm program automatically arms and disarms the system during your
required time intervals. When defining the automatic arming/disarming program, you
need to define the following parameters: Partition, Arming Mode (Away/Stay), Time, and
Label.
Arm /Disarm from your Wireless Keyfob
The system can be armed using a wireless keyfob (If equipped with a wireless module
expansion). For detailed information regarding the keyfob operation consult with your
installer .
Remote Arm/Disarm Using a Phone
If your LightSYS™2 is equipped with the voice module you can perform
arming/disarming operations and operate the system from a remote touch-tone phone by
initiating a telephone call to or from the system and interacting with voice menus that
guide you through your required remote operation. For detailed information refer to the
