General Troubleshooting for This Machine
This section describes how to troubleshoot general problems that may occur in the different modes.
The machine does not operate at all. /
Nothing is displayed on the touch
panel when the power is turned on.
• Make sure that the main power switch is turned on.
• Make sure that the power plug of the machine is
properly inserted into the electrical outlet.
• Make sure that the power cord is securely
connected to the machine.
• Make sure that the power breaker has not been
tripped.
Nothing is displayed on the touch
panel, even when the buttons of the
operation panel are touched.
The machine may be in sleep state.
The administrator may have configured the machine to
automatically enter power saving mode when it has not
been operated for a fixed period. Press the [Wake Up]
key.
The scanner does not operate.
• Make sure that the power plug of the scanner is
properly inserted into the electrical outlet.
• Make sure that the USB cable is securely connected
to the printer and scanner.
The printing results are light or dark.
The density setting may not be configured
properly.
For printing:
Adjust the [Print Density] setting in the [Image] tab on
the printer driver screen.
For copying and scanning:
Configure the [Scanning Level] setting for copying
according to the original.
If you are printing or copying, the paper type
setting may not match the type of paper loaded
in the standard tray or feed tray.
Correctly configure the paper type.
For printing:
For copying:
