Troubleshooting for Scanning
This section describes how to troubleshoot problems related to scanning.
There is no scanned data on the scan
screen of the RISO Console.
You may not have selected [Console] after
touching [Scan] on the [Home1] screen.
The scanned data is not displayed on the RISO
Console if you select [Mail] or [PC] after touching
[Scan], or when the scanned data is saved to storage.
Select [Console] and scan the original again.
Part of the original is missing in the
scanned data.
The [Scanning Size] setting may not match the
actual size of the original.
Set [Scanning Size] to the same size as the original, or
set it to [Auto].
The [Page Size] and [Reproduction Size] setting
may not have been set properly.
Set [Reproduction Size] to match the combination of
the [Scanning Size] and [Page Size] settings, or set
[Page Size] to the same size as the original.
The color mode is set to [Auto], but
the machine does not identify color
originals automatically.
Automatic identification may not function
normally for the types of originals listed below.
Color original not identified:
A very lightly colored original
A very dark or nearly black original
An almost colorless original (only thin lines of color,
etc.)
Black and white original not identified:
An original in which the paper itself is not white
Select a color mode other than [Auto], or adjust
[Color/Black Slice Level] in the administrator
menu.
Setting a higher value makes it easier for the machine
to identify color originals. Contact your administrator
for details.
