Troubleshooting for Copying
This section describes how to troubleshoot problems related to copying.
Part of the original is missing in the
copied data.
The [Reproduction Size] setting may not have
been set properly.
Set the copy reproduction size to suit the combination
of the original size and paper size.
When creating a booklet, or when performing
[Staple / Punch] or [Staple], the [Auto
Reduction] setting may not have been
configured.
When creating a booklet or using the staple/punch
function, depending on the width of the margin, the
printed surface may be cropped due to not fitting on
the paper. Set [Auto Reduction] to [ON] under the
margin settings to automatically reduce the printed
surface so that it will fit on the paper.
For booklets:
For staple / punch:
Duplex copying was performed, but
the back of one or more pages is
blank.
Duplex copying may have been performed for
an original consisting of different size pages.
When performing duplex copying of mixed-size
originals, simplex (one-sided) copying is performed if
the size of the original to be copied to the front and
back of a sheet of paper is not the same size.
Duplex copying cannot be performed
for the paper loaded in the standard
tray.
The paper tray setting for the standard tray may
have been set to [Envelope].
When the [Thickness] setting in [Paper Type] is set to
[Envelope], duplex copying cannot be performed using
paper from the standard tray, regardless of the type of
paper that is loaded.
Configure the settings according to the paper to be
used.
