Procedures for start-up
• Check that the main electrical panel in the SYSTEMS ROOM and the en-
gine electronic power supply panels in the engine room are tted with the
following functional uses for the yacht: engine starter, aspirators, street
lights, dashboard lights, manoeuvring thrusters, mooring, interceptors,
winch, horn, hydroguide, VHF, radar, automatic pilot, control panel, GPS/
Navigator, plotter y, shnders and control levers.
• Move the control levers (4) and (5) to the neutral position.
• Turn the right-hand engine start key (6) to the “ON” position, a short beep
will sound from the handcuffs, and then press the “CONTROL/SET” key
(7). When the “CONTROL” indicator light (8) on the handcuff lid illumi-
nates, this indicates that the control is now held at this operating position.
The control system is ready for operation. Then proceed by pressing the
“START” button (9) for engine start.
• Check that the oil pressure has settled to the normal value within 10
seconds.
• Check that the cooling water is circulating correctly.
• The rst engine is started and the second engine is started only after it
has been checked that it is running properly.
• Start the left hand engine as described for the right hand engine.
• Turn the left-hand engine start key to the “ON” position (10), a short beep
will sound from the handcuffs, and then press the “CONTROL/SET” key
(7). When the “CONTROL” indicator light (11) on the handcuff lid illumi-
nates, this indicates that the control is now held at this operating posi-
tion. The control system is ready for operation. Then press the “START”
button (12).
• Heat the engines for about 2-3 minutes at 1000 rpm maximum.
• Check alternator charging.
• Activate the operating propellers using the control panel on the helm
station.
