The
keyboard
is
split
into
two
sections.The
Arranger
section
of
the
keyboard
controls
the
selected
Music
Style
(the
auto-
accompaniment)
and
the
Upper
section
plays
the
Tone
assigned
to
it.
This
is
the
mode
you'll
probably
use
most;
it
allows
you
to
control
the
E-66's
great
Music
Styles
while
you
solo
with
your
right
hand.
In
this
mode
the
MODULA-
TION
button
[11],
PITCH
SHIFT
buttons
[12]
and
Sustain
pedal
will
affect
only
the
Upper
Tone.

BASS

LOWER
[26]
and
UPPER
LEDs
[27]
are
lit:
The
keyboard
is
split
into
two
sections.
The
left
part
of
the
keyboard
will
play
a
combination
(a
‘layer’)
of
the
Manual
Bass
Tone

the
Lower
Tone.
(The
M
Bass
portion
will
play
the
root
note
of
any
chords
that
are
played.)
The
Upper
section
will
play
the
Tone
assigned
to
it.
In
this
situa-
tion,
the
MODULATION
[11]
button,
PITCH
SHIFT
buttons
[12]and
sustain
pedal
will
affect
the
Upper
Tone
only.
