What
to
do
prior
to
recording:
When
you
record
with
your
MIDI
File
Recorder,
the
data
is
stored
directly
onto
floppy
disk.
However,
a
new
disk
must
first
be
'formatted'
(prepared)
using
the
following
procedure:
FLOPPY
DISK
|
DRIVE

CAUTION
Formatting
a
disk
will
erase
all
data
stored
on
it.
Before
formatting
the
disk,
be
sure
it
doesn't
contain
any
important
data.
1)
Move
the
protection
tab
to
the
WRITE
position
and
insert
the
disk
into
the
disk
drive.
2)
Press
and
hold
the
FUNCTION
button
(38)
and
then
press
the
REC
button
(42).
Now
release
both
buttons.
The
word
“SUr”
will
appear
in
the
display,
asking
if
it
is
OK
to
format
the
disk
in
the
drive.
3)
Press
the
REC
button
[42]
to
start
formatting
or
press
any
other
button
to
exit
the
formatting
operation.
During
formatting,
numbers
(decreasing
from
79
to
0)
will
appear
in
the
display
beside
the
letter
“F”.
