E-66
MIDI MESSAGES are divided
into two groups:
- Messages trasmitted through a
specific channel
(Channel Messages).
- Messages giving information
concerning the whole MIDI
system (System Messages).
Channel Messages
The channel messages are used
to convey music data, like the
notes played on the keyboard
and the controls (pedals,
switches) which are used.
The way in which a sound
source responds to htese
messages will determine the
way the instrument sounds.
Most MIDI MESSAGES belongs
to this group.
