4.3 | RTA
Instrument
The RTA instrument displays the spectral content of the input channels
using 31 fi lter bands in 1/3 octave steps. It measures the magnitude of
an input signal per frequency band. An optional “H” band shows spectral
signal components above 20 kHz. The display’s reference point and re-
solution can be shifted for a clearer readout in the window. The RTA level
display is always relative.
Depending on the shape of the distribution curve appearing through the
amplitudes of the bargraphs, you can evaluate a bassy or trebly sound
material or missing frequency parts.
After its selection, the instrument will be displayed in the upper half of the
screen.
