5 General system information
This device is part of the SmartHome system and operates with
a bidirectional wireless protocol. The smoke detector can be
configured via the SmartHome software. For information about
the resulting extended range of functions and the additional
functions in the system that are possible in combination with
other devices, refer to the online help at

6 General information about wireless operation
The possibility that external influences can interfere with wireless
transmission cannot be ruled out. Further disturbances can be
caused by switching operations, electric motors or faulty electric
devices. The range inside buildings can be very different from
that in the open air. Apart from the transmission power and the
reception properties of the receivers, environmental influences
such as humidity and the local structural conditions of the build-
ing play an important role.
