8.3 Inserting the batteries and commissioning the device

The smoke detector cannot be inserted in the mounting

bracket until the batteries have been inserted.

Insert three new LR6 batteries (we recommend Panasonic Mi-

gnon/AA) with the correct polarity (refer to the markings on the

batteries and on the compartments) into the battery compart-

ments (H).

Once the batteries have been inserted, the operating LED of the

wireless module will brieﬂy ﬂash red, green and orange in turn.
