8.8 Checking the wireless connection
8.8.1 Triggering an alarm in the wireless network
If an alarm is triggered on one of the smoke detectors, an acous-
tic and visual alarm is also triggered on all of the other SmartH-
ome smoke detectors. This applies to all smoke detectors that are
connected in the same wireless network and are within the trans-
mission range of the smoke detector that triggered the alarm.
The wireless transmissions can cause a delay of up to 16
seconds.
8.8.2 Switching off an alarm in the wireless network
To send a wireless „all-clear“ signal to all of the smoke detectors
in the system, press for around 2 seconds the test button on the
smoke detector that triggered the alarm.
Alarm signals will then cease at all SmartHome smoke detectors
in the wireless network.
To enable the smoke detector that triggered the alarm to be
identified (e.g. in the event of a false alarm), its red signal LED in
the test button will continue to flash for 10 minutes.
